OWEN TREE ARBORIST EARNS CERTIFICATION

OWEN TREE ARBORIST EARNS CERTIFICATION

September 9, 2015

Owen Tree Service would like to congratulate David Scott who, along with being an MDA Certified Applicator, is now an ISA Certified Arborist.

The ISA Certified Arborist examination verifies an individual’s knowledge on a variety of different topics in the field of arboriculture. By passing the test David has demonstrated a thorough knowledge on tree care topics such as soil management, tree identification, tree pruning and tree problem diagnosis. This voluntary certification program gives David the peer recognition that comes with his professional arboricultural knowledge and skills.

This is David’s second year with Owen Tree Service, but he has been involved with tree and shrub care for almost 20 years. David formerly supervised the maintenance department of a group of cemeteries for 18 years and worked one year as a greens keeper for Oakland University Golf Course. David is currently the Site Supervisor at our Pontiac, MI office and also performs insect & disease control treatments for trees and shrubs.

When David is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, is very involved with his church, and is an avid Detroit Red Wings fan. And, if all that isn’t enough, he is also pursuing a degree in Ornamental Horticulture at Oakland Community College.

This certification allows David to join the ranks of 10 other ISA Certified Arborists already employed at Owen Tree Service.
