Utility, Pipeline, Road, and Drainage Rights-of-Way Herbicide Application

Application Methods

  • Low Volume Foliage (May-October):
    Applied with a manual backpack or ATV-mounted spray unit at a rate of 25-50 gallons per acre. 
  • Mid to High Volume Foliage (May-October):
    Applied with a truck or skidder-mounted spray unit at a rate of 50-100 gallons per acre. 
  • Mid to High Volume Dormant Stem (October-May):
    Applied with a truck or skidder-mounted spray unit at a rate of 50-75 gallons per acre. 
  • Low Volume Basal Bark:
    Applied manually using a backpack at a rate of 8-10 gallons per acre. 
  • Cut Stubble:
    Applied with a truck, skidder, or ATV-mounted spray unit at a rate of 50-100 gallons per acre. 
  • Bare Ground:
    Applied with a truck, ATV, or backpack at a rate of 50-75 gallons per acre. 

Property Owner Notification:

To ensure a successful start to any new spray program, we notify 100% of property owners using one of the following methods: in person, door card, phone, mail, or legal notice in local newspapers. The notification process includes one man, a truck, a phone, a pager, and photocopies of plans to ensure clear communication.
