Trapping is one of the most reliable methods for control if you can set the trap correctly. Set mole traps in active tunnels to capture and remove, or kill, the animals. Unfortunately, if the tunnel is disturbed too much when setting the trap, the mole will just tunnel around where the mole trap has been placed. So, if you set a mole trap on a tunnel and don’t get a mole in a day or two, move the trap to a new, active tunnel.

The other effective method to get rid of moles is with mole baits. The best mole baits are shaped like their favorite food – earthworms. What’s important with this method is to wear the gloves provided with the mole bait product. Moles will not accept the bait if it has human scent on it. Place the bait in the tunnel according to the instructions without causing too much disturbance to the tunnel.
