IS OWEN TREE STILL WORKING?

Under the directive of the Department of Homeland Security we are able to perform requested infrastructure work for MDOT and public utilities. All of our tree trimming / removal crews are still working during the Shelter In Place, Stay Safe order.  We currently have crews working along I-696 for MDOT, in Kensington Metro Park for Consumers Energy and available for on-call work for safety-related tree services. At this time our lawn fertilization, tree spraying, tree fertilization and landscaping work is on pause.

Under this same directive we are also able to assess and perform certain work for residences and businesses. If the work you need to have done is required for safety reasons do not hesitate to give us a call. The type of work that we can still perform is:

  • Dead or hazardous tree removal that could cause personal or property damage
  • Dead, broken branch or dangerous limb removal that could cause personal or property damage
  • Road safety clearance
  • Cabling or bracing a hazardous tree
  • Mitigating storm damage
  • Flea, tick, mosquito, perimeter pest control or other public health treatments
  • Treatments to control invasive insects which if left untreated would rapidly destroy a tree, causing a hazard
  • Some borer treatments
  • Some disease treatments that could cause significant damage to a tree
  • Assessment of hazard trees or pest issues for the purposes of removal or treatment as described above

If you are uncomfortable meeting with an Arborist in person, please rest assured that we are offering alternative options for you. Our Arborists are happy to visit your property and can communicate via telephone while the Arborist walks your property so that we can still deliver the best solution for you.
